PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY
Born in Sydney, raised in Wollongong/Sydney by his two immigrant parents – a Chemical Engineer and a Couturière – Francisco graduated from Sydney Grammar School in 1991 having studied with Susan Khouri and Alex Todicescu.
During his Sydney Conservatorium bachelor’s degree in Music Performance he studied with Esther van Strallen and performed and toured with the Sydney Conservatorium Chamber Orchestra. In 1999 Francisco became the principal violist of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia in the city of A Coruña in the northwest of Spain. He has performed under the batons of Victor Pablo Pérez, Dima Slobodeniuk, Lorin Maazel, Gustavo Dudamel, Jesús López Cobos, and many more. The #sinfonicadegalicia has an extensive library of its performances on its YouTube channel with nearly 50m views.
Francisco lives in A Coruña by the coast with his wife and two kids.
