Young musicians play with the AWO

Promising young musicians from The Regional Youth Orchestra (RYO), comprising students from conservatoriums throughout NSW, will come together with Australian World Orchestra musicians for the AWO Masters & Youth concert, “A Night To Shine”.

The orchestral performance will be an extremely memorable experience for these student musicians as they perform a remarkable and exciting programme.

The evening’s repertoire begins with Sir Edward Elgar’s mighty Nimrod, from the Enigma Variations. A spell-binding performance of the vivid and magical Scheherazade by composer Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov will follow, concluding the concert and giving the audience a deep understanding of the power of music and the fantastic opportunity provided to these young musicians through the AWO’s Education Program.

With only 150 seats in this iconic and intimate venue, this is a unique opportunity to see the Australian World Orchestra up-close-and-personal, side by side with the next generation of fabulous young musicians.

This terrific performance is for one night only, on 25 November 2023, in the Eugene Goossens Hall, ABC Ultimo.
